Clwb Cymric 1 Canton Rangers 4
Clwb Cymric produced yet another fine performance but were unable to take their chances against Canton Rangers in St Mellons on Saturday afternoon. Rangers took the lead after 15 minutes with a good ball over the top of the Cymric defence which their striker finished well. Cymric then had plenty of chance to equalize but our luck in front of goal has not been there at all this season.
In the second half things went from bad to worse with Ranger's left winger firing a fantastic 25 yard screamer into the top corner. Another blunder then cost the away side with Cymric unable to clear a goal mouth scramble and Rangers netting it to make it 3-0. Cymric then gathered some momentum and was able to get some shots on goal and Ranger's centre back decided he was the goalkeeper and handled the ball and was rightly sent off. 3-1 game on!
Cymric then piled on the pressure but again Ranger's hopeful ball over the Cymric defence fell into the path of their striker and he finished well 4-1.
