Friday 18th April 2014 is Good Friday, the second Bank Holiday of 2014 and the first since the Christmas and New Year period. Good Friday represents the start of the Easter bank holiday weekend which ends with Easter Monday on 21st April. We’ll also have 2 bank holidays in May, on 5th May (Early May Bank Holiday) and on 26th May (Spring Bank Holiday).
At CPS Homes some of our branches will be closed on the bank holidays, but most will still be open on Saturday 19th April, to help you find the perfect accommodation. All offices are closed on Friday 18th (with the exception of Albany Rd which is open 10am - 2pm), Sunday 20th (like every Sunday) and Monday 21st April 2014, on Saturday 19th April our offices in Cardiff Bay and on Albany Rd will be open as normal. Only our Woodville Rd branch will be closed the whole Easter weekend.
Many students leave Cardiff for Easter, much like they do at Christmas and during the summer break. However, if you’re a student planning on staying in Cardiff over the Easter weekend then fret not as Cardiff is full of entertaining events which you can participate in. Cardiff Castle is hosting an Easter Fun Day on 19th April while Castell Coch is organising a similar event the following day. St Fagans are also hosting a special Easter Egg Hunt from 18th-21st April suitable for all ages.
If Easter egg hunts aren’t your idea of fun, why not catch a musical or play? Wicked will be playing at the Wales Millennium Centre until 26th April while Hot Flush is playing in the New Theatre until the middle of May. Furthermore, if you’re looking for a unique experience in May make sure you check out See How They Run, starring Warwick Davis, from 6th-10th May 2014 at the New Theatre.
Most of the city’s nightclubs and pubs will also be open throughout the Easter break so that you can unwind, relax and chill with some friends.
However you end up spending your Easter weekend, we wish you a Happy Easter and look forward to welcoming all students back to Cardiff after the break. If you need to contact us during the Easter break our Albany road and Cardiff Bay branches will be happy to welcome you on Saturday 19th April.
