CPS Homes in the student community

We’ve been a part of Cardiff’s student community since we opened our doors in 2000. Founded by two Cardiff students, our letting agency has always known the type of advice and help our local students need when it comes to housing, and with so many years of experience under our belt, we’re now in a position to deliver it.

Here’s just a selection of the things we’ve done to keep in touch with our student roots;

The big CPS HOMES street food event!

We hold an annual BBQ at our Woodville Rd, Cathays branch to welcome the new batch of freshers to Cardiff. Burgers, hot dogs and drinks can be had by all, as well as a uniquely-designed t-shirt by our friends at I Loves The ‘Diff – all absolutely free!

Student sponsorship

We’ve sponsored tonnes of university teams, clubs and societies over the years, most recently the FAD (Funky Arse Dance) Society, Cardiff IMG Netball, Cardiff History Netball, Cardiff Law Netball, Cardiff Medic Netball, Cardiff Law Rugby, and Cardiff Ladies Medic Hockey. We benefit from getting their thoughts and opinions – allowing us to keep our fingers on the pulse – and the teams we sponsor receive our dedicated support and financial backing over the course of the year.

Through our sponsorship of Cardiff Blues, we’ve been delighted to give away match tickets to a bunch of lucky winners. We even took a selection of the Blues’ players to Marlborough Primary School’s fete, helping them raise money towards a new playground. Huge fun was had by adults and children alike!

Grab a Grand

We’ve given away £1k to a university society through our ‘Grab a Grand’ competition. Open to societies and clubs at every Cardiff university, the group with the most votes bagged themselves the cool sum of one grand! Winners include Cardiff University’s Rowing Club and the Snakecharmers Cheerleaders.

Freebies for one and all

We regularly give away all sorts of freebies via our Facebook and Twitter pages. Whether it’s a ‘first 10 people to comment’ race or a ‘like this post and we’ll pick a winner at random’ competition, you’re always in with a chance – as long as you’re following us, that is! We’ve given away all sorts of things in the past, from tickets to local events and gigs, to our signature ‘student survival pack’.

We recognise that renting a property for the first time is daunting, which is why we produce and distribute a yearly magazine containing everything a student needs to know when it comes to finding their own place. 

Featuring a handy map allowing you to pinpoint exactly where you’d like to live in proximity to your university, as well as housing experiences from both current and previous students, it is a must-have!
