The Bake Off is back – but this time it’s bigger and better than ever!
After last year’s great success, The Cardiff Bake Off is back for another year! This year’s star bakes will come together on Saturday 16th May at the much loved St Andrews Church on Pen-y-Lan Road! CPS Homes are delighted to be sponsoring the event and giving something back to the local community that has given us so much since we started business many moons ago.
This year’s event will be raising money for the fantastic Cardiff and Vale Health Charity, to help assist new provisions at the University Hospital Wales. The proceeds will go towards developing the Enfys Suite (Welsh for “Rainbow”), to provide a space for those with mild to moderate cognitive impairment (including dementia), to engage in a positive and stimulating programme of activities that will in turn assist with their discharge and transition planning. The suite will serve as a partnership between the Health Board Team, Liaison Psychiatry for Older People, Medicine Clinical Board and Mental Health Matters.
This incredibly popular community event will be presented by the fabulous Wyburn and Wayne from Radio Cardiff and Cardiff Life Magazine. There will also be an array of special guest judges, stalls, refreshments and live entertainment; plenty to keep both grown-ups and children occupied!
Cake drop off will commence when the doors open at 11am! There is a £3 entry fee for each bake, and there is a huge variety of categories to choose from – Cake of the Year, Tastiest Cake, Cardiff’s Best Cake (Under 8’s Category), Cardiff’s Best Cake (Under 16’s Category), Best Vegan Bake, Best Gluten-Free Bake… and many more! Judging will begin at 2pm and all winners will be announced at 5pm!
Get ready for a day packed full of food and fun!
